About Us

Overview

The year starts off with Marching Band short spring band camp in June and a two week band camp at the high school in August where we learn our field show for the upcoming fall competition season. Our competition season usually takes place from late September to early November where we travel and compete at different high schools throughout the surrounding area. Marching Band season ends with the Medford/Malden rival Thanksgiving Day Game.  As soon as Marching Band season ends Concert Band and Winter Percussion, and Winter Guard begin with a full season of concerts and competitions. We end the year with a few parades, a field trip and the Band Banquet where we honor our seniors, present awards, and announce what’s in store for our upcoming season.

Check out our calendar for rehearsal dates and feel free to contact Michael de Melo (née Dampier), Band Director with any questions at mdampier@medford.k12.ma.us
