Band Camp starts tomorrow Monday August 14th!
Here are a few reminders…
-Band camp runs Monday through Friday 8/14 – 8/25
-The morning session runs from 9am-1pm and the afternoon session runs 4pm-8pm
-The morning session for Monday 8/14 is just for new members, drum majors, section leaders and all colorguard.
-Please bring a water bottle, snacks, a pencil, sunscreen, bugspray, sunglasses, a hat and all instruments/equipment.
-Water will be provided to refill your water bottles but water bottles/cups will not be provided.
-Please wear comfy clothes you can move in (no jeans) and athletic sneakers (no sandals, flipflops or flats)
-A dot book will be given to you on Monday 8/14 please fill it out regularly and bring it with you to every rehearsal. Instructions on how to most effectively use your dotbook will be covered on Monday.
-Students will be given a bandana and be assigned to a team for band camp. Sections of the band will be given multiple opportunities to earn points for their teams.
-Week one is theme week! Help your section gain points by dressing for the theme!
Monday 8/14 Merica Monday (bust out the red, white and blue)
Tuesday 8/15 Rainbow Day (wear lots of color)
Wednesday 8/16 Anti Color Day (lots of black and white)
Thursday 8/17 Jungle Day (wild wear)
Friday 8/18 Disney Day (wear your favorite Disney gear)
Please remember that you need to be able to move in your theme clothing and the school dress code is in effect for all of band camp. A student will be sent home if they break the dress code.
