Saturday 10/14 NESBA Melrose

11:30am Arrive at Medford High school and bring equipment to the top field

11:45am-3:00pm Rehearsal

3:00-3:30pm- Load trailer

3:30-4:30pm- Eat and get changed into uniform (please bring food to eat, students will not be allowed to leave or order food during this time)

4:30pm Bus leaves for Melrose High School

5:00pm- Arrival in Melrose

5:15pm- Warm Up

5:55pm- Gate

6:00pm- Performance

8:35pm- Award Ceremony

9:00pm- Leave Melrose and head back to MHS

*Students will call for a ride home when we get close to Medford.

*Students should bring plenty of snacks, drinks and comfy warm clothes to change into.

DON’T FORGET YOUR MARCHING SHOES, BLACK SOCKS AND GLOVES!!!

 

Sunday 10/15 MICCA Medford Clinic

12:00pm Arrive at Hormel Stadium and unload trailer

12:30pm Warm up/Fitchburg Band arrives

1:00-3:00pm Clinic with MICCA judges

3:00pm Cookout with Fitchburg Band and Judges

4:00pm Pack up, students need to be picked up at Hormel or make arrangements to get home.

*Students do not need to wear uniforms. Street clothes are fine as long as they are appropriate to march in and follow the MHS band handbook.

10/7 MICCA Gardner

*Gardner is currently using temporary bleachers as there old ones are being replaced, families that are coming to watch are encouraged to bring folding/lawn chairs.

9:00pm- Award Ceremony

9:30pm- Leave Gardner and head back to MHS

NESBA Medford

Today’s NESBA event is on! Rehearsal this morning from 10am-2pm will be at the Andrews Middle School. Please bring lots of layers, snacks, and water. Don’t forget black socks, your band shoes, a bagged dinner, and your gloves. Any parent volunteers signed up to help: please arrive by 3pm. Looking forward to an awesome competition today! Go Mustangs!!!

Band Camp

Band Camp starts tomorrow Monday August 14th!

Here are a few reminders…

-Band camp runs Monday through Friday 8/14 – 8/25

-The morning session runs from 9am-1pm and the afternoon session runs 4pm-8pm

-The morning session for Monday 8/14 is just for new members, drum majors, section leaders and all colorguard.

-Please bring a water bottle, snacks, a pencil, sunscreen, bugspray, sunglasses, a hat and all instruments/equipment.

-Water will be provided to refill your water bottles but water bottles/cups will not be provided.

-Please wear comfy clothes you can move in (no jeans) and athletic sneakers (no sandals, flipflops or flats)

-A dot book will be given to you on Monday 8/14 please fill it out regularly and bring it with you to every rehearsal. Instructions on how to most effectively use your dotbook will be covered on Monday.

-Students will be given a bandana and be assigned to a team for band camp. Sections of the band will be given multiple opportunities to earn points for their teams.

-Week one is theme week! Help your section gain points by dressing for the theme!

Monday 8/14 Merica Monday (bust out the red, white and blue)

Tuesday 8/15 Rainbow Day (wear lots of color)

Wednesday 8/16 Anti Color Day (lots of black and white)

Thursday 8/17 Jungle Day (wild wear)

Friday 8/18 Disney Day (wear your favorite Disney gear)

Please remember that you need to be able to move in your theme clothing and the school dress code is in effect for all of band camp. A student will be sent home if they break the dress code.

I hope everyone is ready for band camp! The staff is very excited and has lots of great things planned for the next two weeks! Woo hoo! Go Mustangs!

6/25 Flag Day Ceremony

Hi Everyone,
Just a reminder that tomorrow is Medfords flag day ceremony. Please meet at 8:30am at Medford high school. We will put on our new uniforms (don’t forget black socks, shoes and gloves) colorguard will wear the black colorguard tshirt and black leggings/bottoms. Please don’t forget your instruments and folios (with patriot music). We will run through the music and then march down the hill to honor roll park for the ceremony. When the ceremony is done we will head back to the high school to take off the uniforms and then everyone is invited to the Medford Elks for breakfast. Transportation will not be provided, I would suggest carpooling as parking might be limited.

A Night on Broadway

Chevalier Concert Day is here!
Please arrive at the Chevalier Theater tomorrow no later than 1pm. We need to unload the trailer and set everything up before rehearsal starts!
Please eat lunch before you arrive and bring a bagged dinner to eat during break. (No food will be provided you must bring something to eat it is a long day) There will be a break between rehearsal and the performance for students to relax, rest their chops, eat and get changed. Students are not allowed to leave during break, they must stay at the theater.
Concert dress is white on top, black on the bottom, black tie, black socks and black shoes.
If anyone still has ticket money please bring it with you to rehearsal. If anyone has any last minute donations please send them tomorrow with you child at 1pm.
Volunteers please arrive by 5:30pm.

This is going to be a great concert! We have some awesome alumni that came back to play and we sounded great at Wednesday’s rehearsal!! Please invite all of your family and friends so tonight can be a huge success!!

Disney Payment

Hi Everyone,

Just a reminder that Disney Payment #2 is due today! If you forgot it or didn’t see me today please bring it to Clippership Day tomorrow! Thank you, see you all tomorrow at 11:30am behind Colleens!

Don’t forget your white band tshirts, folios and instruments! Front ensemble and colorguard all of your equipment was loaded in the trailer today!

Clippership Day

The band will be performing at Clippership day this Saturday May 6th at noon! Please arrive by 11:30am we will be meeting behind Colleens to unload the trailer. We will be wearing our white band tshirts and dark bottoms and performing our marching band show and stand tunes. We will only be playing for 20 mins, once we are done we will load the trailer and everyone is free to leave. If you would like to stay and participate in Clippership Day you are encouraged to! There will be lots of fun events happening throughout the day.  There will be food, vendors, activities, magic, a coloring contest (theres even a dog parade!) Disney Chaperones

A huge and sincere Thank you to everyone that passed in a Chaperone Interest form! I received 26 forms which is more than we have ever received! I am so thankful that there are so many of you that want to help make this trip a great success! Unfortunately we only need 6 Chaperones so if you are not chaperoning then I encourage you to take advantage of our family package and still come along and take part in the Magic! Chaperone spots were opened up to the BPO executive board first and the rest were picked out of a hat. Our Disney Chaperones are as follows.
